England Out of 2014 Word Cup

England are going out of the World Cup in the group stage for the first time since 1958.

For all the supporters and players, manager, coaching staff, it wasn't for the lack of trying. England just weren't good enough and that is upsetting for everybody.

England have got what they deserved. Over paid, over-rated, gutless and clueless. When will they learn you don't score passing it sideways and backwards.

What an effort from Costa Rica. They are through to the knockout stages of the World Cup and will play either Colombia, Ivory Coast, Greece or Japan in the last 16.
England are going home.

Football Association chairman Greg Dyke has backed England manager Roy Hodgson to lead the national side to the European Championships in 2016.
Hodgson's position has come under scrutiny after his side suffered back-to-back defeats at the World Cup.
"He came to do a four year cycle leading up to the Europeans and we want him to stay and continue with that," says Dyke.
"It's disappointing to lose both games narrowly to both sides but there are some positives, there are a lot of young players who got blooded here who got into tournament football here."
